CARFAX is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Architect who will lead the design and execution of both internal and customer facing reporting and analytical solutions that:

* Support ongoing business functions such as finance, sales, and marketing

Responsibilities:

BI Data Modeler

* Support the development and implementation of CARFAX's information strategy and the BI Team's technical vision
* Drive data modeling design decisions for reporting and analytical solutions
* Establish development practices/standards and ensure they are followed
* Ensure that the BI environment meets agreed upon service level requirements
* Root cause production support issues and recommend steps to take to prevent issues from reoccurring

Project Execution

* Work closely with the Data Integration Manager to ensure that the data architecture supports reporting and analytical needs
* Able to gather requirements from both IT and the Business partners
* Demonstrate the ability to create high quality technical artifacts
* Actively participate in Data Warehouse architecture and project discussions
* Able to multi-task under tight deadlines
* Able to work independently as well as be a strong team player
* Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
* Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
* Collaborate with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
* Address data-related problems in regards to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration.
* Work closely with the BI development team to design and deliver reporting and analytical solutions that satisfy business and technical requirements.

Requirements:

* 10 to 15 years' experience leading the data modeling effort for a Data warehouse team. Experience working in Agile development environments a strong plus.
* Proficient with Erwin Data Modeler and Aginity, Toad, or other data integration tools
* Candidate must have experience designing Data Warehouse schemas (3NF model) as well as Data Mart schemas (Dimensional model)
* 10+ years supporting multiple BI tools from a data model perspective. Microstrategy a strong plus.
* Expert level SQL skills required.
* Prototype ETL transformation logic using Advanced SQL techniques
* Demonstrated experience developing and implementing standards and best practices
* Demonstrated ability to work with a project management office and separate data integration team to jointly deliver BI projects
* Demonstrated ability to support the execution of multiple simultaneous BI projects
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
* Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and to own tasks from start to finish
