Business Unit:

Comcast Advanced Advertising is currently looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data Science Team. This role will be responsible for supporting efforts related to data visualization, reporting, and business analytics. This role will work very closely with engineering, account management, and product management staff to support client needs around data visualization and reporting. This position will work closely in supporting ongoing data science efforts and on future development of advanced reporting offerings.

Position Responsibilities:

* Understand product offerings and define database requirements for reporting needs
* Develop analytical reports using BI tools such as Tableau/Looker
* Create and maintain various reporting dashboards for internal and external purposes
* Write SQL/LookML scripts to extract data into the BI platforms
* Automate client reporting by linking the back-end databases to various BI tools
* Leverage SQL and Python to manipulate data as needed for data visualization
* Monitor and administer BI platforms to ensure system reliability
* Administer BI platform usage across multiple users (modify permissions, create structure)
* Administer staging and live environments to ensure promotion of quality assured reports

Desired Skills and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Engineering, Mathematics, or Database Technologies
* 1-3 years of experience with understanding and querying databases/storage services (such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon S3), SQL development, data integration and analysis
* Experience with Looker, Tableau and/or other BI tools & proficiency in Excel
* Experience with data visualization development such as with D3
* Experience with Python scripting for data manipulation
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work creatively in problem solving environment
