This position is part of the larger RMS Business Development team and located in Manassas, Virginia. A successful candidate must be familiar with the US Navy's Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) programs, the USG ASW customer set (Operational/Acquisition/S&T), and the ASW industrial base in order to grow Lockheed Martin's market share and broaden the portfolio of current ASW and Undersea Integration Programs. The candidate will be responsible for planning and executing new business and program growth activities including opportunity assessment, capture management, competitive assessment and positioning, teaming/subcontracting strategy, and customer relationship development. Be able to coordinate with other internal functional departments that are identifying/implementing business development projects is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying resource requirements and developing capture strategies and marketing plans for new business and program growth pursuits, and then communicate developed plans with senior management. Additionally, the successful candidate will represents Lockheed Martin in key customer, subcontractor and teaming meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must have a strong technical and strategic background in the ASW mission and systems. Insight to the competitive landscape of the undersea industry and demonstrated ability to assess approaches and likely strategies. Strong, professional writing and presentation skills. Ability to rapidly respond to changing environments. Demonstrated strong leadership skills and outstanding interpersonal skills. Relevant and recent operational experience in submarine operations and 15 to 20 years of experience in submarine tactics, weapon system employment and U.S. military concepts of operations (CONOPS) is required.

Desired Skills:

Significant ASW operational experience. Experience or familiarity with the DoD Planning, Programming and Budgeting System.
