Bus Info Developer Sr - Pharmacy - PS20302

Location(s): Mason, OH; Atlanta, GA; St. Louis, MO; Virginia Beach, VA; Morristown, NJ; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Louisville, KY; Las Vegas, NV; Wallingford, CT

Responsible for developing and executing complex data mining analyses, which involves the design and execution of programs to extract data.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

* Provides clinical analytics and reporting services to internal (i.e. product managers) and external customers (i.e. provider groups)
* Develop and maintain stored procedures for clinical pharmacy health outcomes metrics (i.e. medication adherence; Opioid MEDD) from medical and pharmacy claims.
* End-to-end development of new reports and BI dashboards and modification of existing reports and dashboards, utilizing Tableau; DOMO; Business Objects.
* Gathers data from multiple sources, analyzes data and create metrics to drive clinical and operational performance improvement in a data-driven decision making process.
* Develop Extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process to acquire and load data from internal and external sources
* Analyze and validate output and metrics to ensure data quality, reliability and integrity.
* Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings. Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary.
* Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
* Enhance business understanding and decision making with data visualizations.
* Troubleshooting and optimizing existing SQL code.
* Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the databases.
* Develops new and standard reports utilizing data warehouse information.
* Establishes and maintains strong knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, related programming languages, and data integrity issues.
* Develops and supports data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.

Qualifications:

Requires a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or other quantitative field.

4 years related analytical experience in health insurance field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

4 years of SQL development experience in one or more data platforms (e.g. Teradata, Microsoft, Hadoop, Oracle)

4 years of experience working in one or more Analytics/Data Visualization tools (e.g. Business Objects, DOMO, Tableau)

3 years of ETL/ELT code development experience using stored procedures and integration tools using Informatica.

Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R or Python.

Knowledge of basic data warehouse principles (Kimball, Inmon)

Experience with complex Stored Procedures and Macros in Teradata

4 years of simple to moderately complex data warehouse, ETL, and/or OLAP report development experience.

Healthcare claims experience required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage business partners external to IT.

The majority of time will be spent programming.

Desire to learn new technologies and business concepts.
