Rockstar San Diego is seeking an experienced build and release engineer to join our world-class development team. With the rapid growth of Grand Theft Auto Online, and other long-term plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing builds of current and future projects; and working with the development team to ensure builds are stable and of the highest quality possible. The role will require strong communication skills, knowledge of the development environment and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Continuous integration and deployment of internal tools and externally facing applications to multiple environments. * Management and documentation of deployment processes and automation. * Environment management to ensure all needs are covered for testing and development. * Collaboration with other Rockstar technology teams across our worldwide studios. * Creating regular software builds across multiple platforms. * Communicating issues to the development team. * Working with developers and QA to ensure builds are stable upon release. * Diagnosing and troubleshoot build problems, and advertising these to the team. * Assist and support developers.
* 4+ years of configuration management and engineering for web applications, ideally supporting an Agile development process. * Experience defining, implementing or improving continuous integration and deployment workflow processes. * Experience with branching and merge strategies. * Programming experience with of the following languages: C++, C#, or Java. * Scripting and automation skills with one of the following languages: PowerShell, Perl, Python, bash, Ruby, or similar. * Adept at managing software release and deployment. * Proficient in supporting multi-platform application development shops. * Solid understanding of continuous integration best practices. * Must be self-driven and a team player with a solid work ethic.
* Experience with automated build systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or equivalent. * Experience with Perforce, or equivalent. * Experience with bug-tracking software. * Knowledge of SQL. * Knowledge of Agile software development process (particularly Scrum). * Passion for games (especially Rockstar Games titles). * Development or QA experience in the games industry. * Excellent communication skills. * The ability to work individually and as a team.
