Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I-3) is seeking to add a highly creative and innovative individual as we expand our small, dynamic team of biometrics software engineers. This is an opportunity to engineer identification and verification related solutions for government, commercial and international customers on a variety of exciting biometrics projects. We are looking for driven, self-starters that will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle-from requirements, to development, through to testing, deployment and O&M. Smart, creative, technical, innovative software developers and engineers should apply even if their experience does not cover all desired disciplines and technologies.

Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer oriented, pay attention to detail and possess good decision making abilities. Candidates must have a BS in Computer Science or related field. We are seeking individuals experienced in Microsoft .NET, and have experience or interest in Android and iOS development. Engineers are encouraged to identify and recommend software tools, techniques and technologies that produce optimal solutions for our customers' requirements. I-3 seeks individuals who are interested in the biometrics field and who are interested in staying abreast of emerging biometric technologies.

Tasks:

* Full software lifecycle development-requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, operations and maintenance (O&M)
* Periodic support on research and development (R&D)

Requirements Ideal candidates will have experience in, or knowledge of:

* Development of:Biometric solutions,Transaction managers, Web applications, Database applications, Mobile development and Web services
* Multi-platform mobile application development with Xamarin
* Biometrics standards and standard biometric data files
* Biometrics vendors, sensors, devices, and SDKs
* Design patterns
* Biometrics systems specification and sizing
* Creating prototype user interfaces
* Technical writing - white papers, user manuals
* Agile software development practices
* Configuration management tools

Ideal candidates will have experience with the following technologies:

Operating systems: Microsoft, Android, and iOS; Microsoft Visual Studio .NET: Windows Forms, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF); Java; Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS); Microsoft SQL Server; MySQL, RabbitMQ; Xamarin; XML; HTML 5; Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Microsoft Team Services

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Location: Arlington, VA

Clearance: Clearable to DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility (current US clearance preferred)
