HMC is in search of an experienced BIM Content Leader. This position is open to candidate preference in one of the following HMC Office locations: Ontario, California Corporate office, Los Angeles Design Studio; San Diego Design Studio, or Phoenix, Arizona Design Studio.

Summary

Reporting to the BIM Director, the BIM Content Lead will contribute to the development and implementation of BIM in support of HMC Architects Digital Practice initiatives. The BIM Content Lead will develop and lead training efforts associated with BIM content and support the overall vision and initiatives of Digital Practice. Assist project teams to create and maintain BIM content. Maintaining content libraries inclusive of all practice areas, business classes, and units of measurement with assistance from HMC Architects' Standards Task Force (STF) is a primary responsibility. Responsible for developing and strengthening connections and standards between offices, project teams, and critical individuals to strengthen Digital Practice. The BIM Content Lead is a key contributor in shaping a culture of continued innovation, supporting Digital Practice's core objective of finding and solving problems with digital thinking. Our Digital Practice Studio is made up of thought leaders that amplify architecture and design.

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent A/E career experience;
* Preferred 5-7 years in an A/E practice experience working on large scale, complex projects in the areas of Healthcare, Education, and/or Civic typologies;
* A firm command of the Design and Delivery process;
* Familiarity with content management solutions and strategies required;
* Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Revit Add-Ins;
* Familiarity with Rhino and Dynamo is preferred;
* Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technology;
* Strong technical knowledge in MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Content Management Systems;
* Technological zeal and a problem-solving attitude;
* People/personal development, strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible

Primary responsibilities will include

* Create parametric content and related workflows for use in projects;


* Consult with key strategic projects in the development of their content strategies;


* Assessment of the firms content needs;


* Assist teams in applying content management strategies;


* Capture and review project-developed content for addition to HMC Architects standard libraries;


* Engage with project management and project leadership to maintain awareness of current and future project needs for BIM;


* Adoption, implementation, and maintenance of HMC Architects Content Management System;


* Responsible for the administration of multiple content libraries;


* Participate in the evaluation and testing of new design technology and workflows;


* Stay informed of the latest industry trends in design technology content creation and management;


* Familiarity with industry and client standards for BIM content, data management and exchange;


* Report on status of content;


* Improve consistency and quality of content, existing and new;


* Develop and administer content approval processes;


* Collect content that has proven effective in a project environment that can be vetted and redistributed across the firm;


* Build a network of Digital Practice members that demonstrate potential in content development;
