CE is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to build and verify BI solutions that support research, analysis and reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an expert at Quality Assurance and BI solutions, is familiar and excited about cloud-based BI, is a strong problem solver, and consistently delivers on commitments.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

* Work with other engineers understand product design/specifications
* Work with the product owners and other stakeholders to define and understand acceptance criteria
* Define tests, execute tests, analyze results, work with team to resolve defects
* Using the CE test automation platform, develop automated test for BI solutions
* Develop test strategy and test cases for features
* Work in a mixed white box / black box testing environment
* Plan and execute tasks within an Agile/Scrum environment
* Remain current with evolving industry trends and technologies

Education: Bachelor's in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred or equivalent field

Experience:

* 4+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
* 2+ years testing data warehousing, ETL, analytics or other data solutions
* Strong SQL skills
* Oracle and/or SQL Server knowledge and experience
* Experience working in an Agile development environment
* Experience with cloud- based BI solutions preferred
* Experience in the healthcare IT domain desired
* Experience with Business Objects, Pentaho platform v6+, Power BI, SSRS, Tableau is a plus

* Strong problem-solving abilities, and organization skills
* Attention to detail and proven record of documenting QA processes
* Ability to communicate and work with others and build consensus
* Knowledge and interest in QA and BI trends with the ability to rapidly learn and apply new technology
* Ability to dynamically adjust the plan, to resolve impediments as well as to meet changing business needs
* Must embody a strong sense of responsibility for the timely completion of commitments
