Join our elite IT team as a Back-End/AWS Elasticsearch Developer

As a Back-End/AWS Elasticsearch Developer you will be a part of the Consumer Experience Development team. The Consumer Experience Development team has full responsibility for our online presence, and that is a very big deal. At CARFAX, we create websites for our consumers that incorporate tools and products to assist them in buying and selling cars. The Consumer Experience Development team is an elite group of tech savvy individuals who work together every day to deliver quality products that bring value to our customers. A typical day will have you:

You'll need to

Required Experience

* Experience in building scalable web applications on AWS (or other Cloud environments).
* Strong background developing queries in AWS Elasticsearch.
* 3+ years of developing software with languages like Java, Node, Python or similar.
* Developing data ingestion processes from multiple data sources for Search
* Writing Search APIs to expose search functionalities to search clients
* A commitment to best practices. We'll want your opinions on operational processes, DevOps, deployment checklists, and more.
* Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting performance issues at scale.

Preferred Experience

* Relational and NoSql database systems such as MySql, Mongo or Cassandra
* Messaging platforms like RabbitMQ or Kafka
* Continuous Integration / Delivery
* Agile software development including Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
* Advanced knowledge of modern approaches to systems management (Cloudformation, Terraform or similar).
