The Automation Engineer 2 is responsible for the development, integration, testing, installation, configuration, documentation and support of both custom-built and off the shelf automation solutions for a variety of platforms using a multitude of programming languages and frameworks.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Consult with stakeholders on automation opportunities
* Provide oversight to the team to assure quality and adherence to standards
* Work hard to establish a culture of automation within JCPenney.
* Adept at learning and applying new technologies and solving new problems
* Ability to manage and deliver multiple priorities with minimal supervision
* Strong verbal and written communication skilled required

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

* Create, maintain, and execute automated functional and regression testing of Web site and applications.
* Experience in working hands on with API Test Automation and Framework Development and service Virtualization
* Strong JAVA coding skills with minimum of 4 years of development experience and Java Scripting/Groovy Scripting experience
* Working with custom developed and packaged applications with exposure to all types of testing (Unit, System, Integration, Performance, Security, etc.)
* Strong database skills with different database. Create and execute complex SQL queries. Automate database testing process.
* At least 2.5 years of experience in UI Automation using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, UFT
* Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins
* Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for anticipating, recognizing, managing, and resolving technical (hardware, software, application, or operational) problems.
* Experience with Test management tools (ALM, JIRA, Github)
