AMDEX Corporation is currently seeking an Audio Visual Engineer to join our team at our client site in Suitland, MD. Responsibilities: Audio Visual Engineer

* Configure and manage audio-visual (A/V) systems in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and security policies.


* Install, configure, test, maintain, and monitor the enterprise audio-visual (A/V) systems.


* Design, build, and maintain audio-visual (A/V) systems, to include integrated and complex AV/VTC components, for various Program Areas.


* Provide daily support of audio-visual (A/V) systems in auditoriums, conference centers, training rooms, and distance learning centers.


* Provide executive level, high visibility conference support of audio-visual (A/V) systems on a quarterly and bi-annual basis, to include support for international agency meetings.


* Perform daily health checks and monitor performance of audio-visual (A/V) systems.


* Provide weekly performance metrics of audio-visual (A/V) systems.


* Train users in A/V system use (i.e. video teleconference system).


* Acquire estimates from vendors for audio-visual (A/V) systems.


* Provide Tier II and Tier III support to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems.


* Assist with the annual inventory scan of all audio-visual (A/V) systems.


* Create and update documents including standard operating procedures; configuration, policy, and training documents; and A/V documentation and diagrams.


* Submit change request documentation to address enterprise configuration changes.


* Leverage support of MDM provider to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and plan for system configuration changes and upgrades.


* Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting. Provide on-call availability.



Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or another relevant field.


* CCNA Video or Cisco Video Network Specialist Certifications are preferred; however, an older Tandberg certification is a plus.


* 5+ years of experience in video teleconferencing engineering.


* Experience with Cisco (formerly Tandberg) multiparty conferencing equipment, cloud conferencing equipment, recording and streaming equipment, and video conferencing gateways is required.


* Cisco expertise includes Cisco Meeting Server, TelePresence Conductor, TelePresence Server, TelePresence Multipoint Switch, TelePresence MCU Series, TelePresence Exchange System, WebEx Telepresence, TelePresence Content Server, Cisco Expressway Series, TelePresence Video Communication Server, TelePresence ISDN Gateway, VBrick enterprise video,


* Ability to use Remedy to support ticket management.
