Job Description

Job Purpose

The ICE Senior IT Engineer - Multimedia Engineering is part of a team responsible for the corporate multimedia infrastructure. This position will be responsible for various multimedia systems including Digital Signage, IP video streaming, Digital Asset Management and associated end points.

This position requires a high degree of technical proficiency as well as an eager attitude, professionalism and solid communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for ensuring that our AV, Broadcast Studios and Event spaces are operating at optimal efficiency, working in collaboration with corporate stakeholders, while growing support service capability
* Expected to provide AV related end user support for the associated Broadcast, Creative Services, Photography, and Videography teams
* Focus on projects priorities in order to deliver them at their scheduled times
* The candidate will be expected to be involved in the full life cycle of projects from requirement gathering through development, testing, and on-going support and maintenance


* Responsible for planning with business teams and collaborating on the delivery of the AV related jobs, adhering to our standards of designs, procuring equipment and managing vendors to complete projects
* Work independently, handle multiple simultaneous tasks and be adept at prioritizing their work
* The position will involve on-call support outside of regular business hours, nights and weekends

Knowledge and Experience

* College degree in Engineering, New Media, CIS, or related discipline
* 3+ years of AV & IT engineering and support experience
* Works well under pressure; able to make real-time decisions to maintain continuity of the projects or operations
* Technical systems knowledge, audiovisual knowledge preferred:
* Haivision, Crestron, Visix, Cisco, Polycom
* Out of the box and or Custom Digital Signage
* Large Video Wall or Video installations (LED or LCD)
* Basic understanding of acoustics and lighting design
* Engineering & Support of Broadcast Studios, video editors, photographers and other creative teams
* Digital Asset management


* IT Technology, Networking, Support & Troubleshooting
* Working with VLANs, Firewalls, ACLs, VPNs
* Alert & Monitoring tools & protocols
* Tier 1 Cisco switching command and control
* Use of command terminal, SSH, RDP
* Working with VDIs, VM server administration
* Understanding of TCP\UDP\Multicast protocols in the context of network IP video streaming
* Experience with Windows, Mac & Linux (Ubuntu) operating systems


* Excellent written and oral communications skills

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

* Good understanding of IP Network Video encoding & streaming technology
* Project and vendor management experience
* Ability to develop vendor bid packages for project work
* Experience working on Construction and Real Estate projects with AV Integrator's
* Ability to configure room based AV equipment
* Ability to train business and operations team on implemented technology
