Job Description

Position Overview:

As Systems Engineer - Atlasssian (Jira & Confluence) / ServiceNow Engineer you will primarily support JIRA, Confluence and ServiceNow products. You will be the Support Engineer; involving creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and report configurations. Install, configure, maintain and enhance Atlasssian ServiceNow Products, Platforms and Integrations. Assist in requirements gathering, business process workflows, and determine ways to improve the JIRA/Confluence/ServiceNow based workflows and processes, in place, as well as identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests.

What You Will Do:

* Support, Configure, maintain, troubleshoot the following: Jira, Confluence, Portfolio for Jira and other Atlasssian Tools & ServiceNow Products
* Maintain the existing Jira integration with other tools like Salesforce, Testrails, Smartsheet , Sentry and fix any of the issues regarding these integrations
* Implement ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules, migrate JIRA Service Desk to ServiceNow ITSM.
* Create and manage Jira components including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes in Jira
* Create , customize and update Jira Board including Scrum and Kanban Boards and resolve any Board related issues for Jira user
* Create, manage, and support all administrative functions associated with the Atlasssian & Service Now product suite
* Evaluate and manage the usage of Atlasssian / ServiceNow add-ons to meet team and business needs
* Create comprehensive JIRA / ServiceNow workflows (with conditions, validators, and post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
* Design & Manage complex Jira/Confluence queries, dashboards for operational/performance reporting metrics and reports based on departmental needs
* Understand system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions
* Develop, test, and deploy integrations between Atlasssian / ServiceNow products and other internal systems
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Atlasssian / ServiceNow products, administration best practices, and agile methodology best practices
* Conduct user-training and help-sessions for best practices of new features or implementations for JIRA / ServiceNow
* Perform Basic and Advanced Search in Jira using JQL Queries , and writing complex JQL queries for customers to create new filters in Jira
* Migrating people/projects from other tools to JIRA/Confluence or from Jira to ServiceNow ITSM / CMDB
* Manage accounts and groups lifecycle for Atlasssian and ServiceNow products
* Support Confluence Space creation and basic configuration including Space administration including permissions
* Monitor Confluence for operation, content and security
* Understand policies that apply to Confluence, JIRA and Github, disseminating them and participating in the creation/update of new policies
* Coordinate with users for testing product updates before and after production release
* Coordinate with users on simple JIRA project set up schemes and customizations
* Support JIRA in creating more complex schemes and customizations
* Self-train on Confluence, JIRA, ServiceNow, Bitbucket and or GitLab
* Act as point of contact for on-boarding new users and teams, and answering frequently asked questions around Atlasssian / Service Now products
* Responsible for assisting in implementing out of box ServiceNow applications
* Familiarity with creating new and supporting existing integrations between Atlasssian, ServiceNow and other internal systems (SOAP/REST API, Web Services, XML parsing, etc.)
* Ability to listen to non-technical resources, translate their business requirements into Atlasssian / ServiceNow requirements and develop a fully functioning solution
* Best Practices - ITIL Framework understanding (Incident, Problem & Change Management, etc.)

Basic Qualifications:

* BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related major or equivalent work experience.
* ITIL v3 Certification
* Experience, Training or certifications in Agile methodology
* 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Atlasssian Products ( JIRA, Confluence & or Portfolio)
* Experience working on a previous ServiceNow implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

* Energetic and ability to work in a fast changing dynamic agile environment
* Proven track record in working with JIRA Integration, migrations and upgrades
* Ability to analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong work ethic with good time management
* Good problem solving skills along with quick decision making.
