Associate, Testing (QA Lead)-1903079

Description

The Associate, Testing analyzes, develops, debugs, executes and maintains automated test cases within the testing environment. S/he promotes and develops awareness of testing methodologies and standards, and continuously enhances knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends. May assist in developing test strategies and plans and is also be tasked with analyzing complex technical system problems. In addition, s/he leads projects or subprojects and coordinates rollouts of moderate scope while providing coaching and guidance to team members.

Responsibilities:

* Acts as Subject Matter Expert conducting complex software/systems testing


* Defines, develops and implements software/systems testing standards and procedures, and oversees testing


* Develops complex test plans with critical business impact related to new or enhanced products and services


* Documents and analyzes test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality


* Establishes software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing, and maintenance


* Evaluates and recommends new testing processes and systems (automation) between multiple platforms


* Leads teams to deliver project milestone results in fast paced environment


* Leads test releases and system integration for new technology and/or prototype systems


* Oversees testing of purchased third-party software and/or services to ensure that company standards and end-user requirements are met


* Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced Quality Assurance/Testing personnel.


* Works directly with management and vendors to ensure that project goals and objectives are met


* Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other project managers



Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree; in computer science, software engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent work experience


* 5-9 years; Experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases


* Writing test plans and test cases


* Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively


* Ability to comprehend data, draw conclusions from complex reports, and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment


* Ability to evaluate and identify opportunities to improve technology performance


* Ability to interact with senior-level management and clients and hold technology discussions with non-technical individuals


* Ability to prioritize and manage workload


* Ability to stay continuously informed on current leading-edge technologies industry trends


* Project management skills


* Addresses customer's requests, ensures concerns are recorded accurately and action is initiated appropriately


* Makes extra effort to satisfy customers' needs and meet commitments


* Communicates in a timely and straightforward manner


* Probes for additional information, clarifies assumptions and confirms agreed-upon actions


* Keeps everyone involved informed about progress and issues


* Creates a good working environment in the team; works towards shared goals contributing ideas and accepting change Provides assistance and coaches less experienced team members


* Executes risk management process and procedures without management direction, and demonstrates awareness of expected results


* Knows the relationship and impact of actions and results
