Associate Technical Producer (1 year contract)

This is a 12-month contract position available from approximately August 2019 through August 2020.

The Associate Technical Producer (Math) will play an integral role in supporting the conceptualization and execution of exceptional interactive learning experiences. They will work closely with other Technical Producers to problem solve and ensure that new products are developed on time and in a flexible manner that meets all pedagogical and design requirements. The Associate Technical Producer will have a variety of responsibilities related to different teams that create i-Ready instruction, which means that they will have opportunities to participate in the dynamic product development process from end-to-end.

The impact you'll have:

Conceptualize and Develop

* Contribute to brainstorming discussions at all stages of development.
* Co-design interactive activities with producers, editors, designers, and engineers.
* Consolidate asks and ideas in order to create flexible and engaging interactive activities.
* Participate in student testing to better understand our user base.

Serve as a Knowledge Base

* Develop a working understanding of existing activities, system capabilities and restrictions, and global rules.
* Be available to answer a wide variety of questions from other teams (editors, developers, QA engineers, designers, and producers).
* Create and maintain technical documentation.
* Aid in communication between editorial, engineering, and design to create the most effective activities for students and the most efficient processes for internal teams.

Project Manage and Problem-Solve

* Support technical producers to schedule meetings, monitor issues, hone processes, etc.
* Review interactive activities, editorial documents, and technical documentation.
* Participate in the testing of activities and prioritization of issues.
* Be flexible and innovative about balancing pedagogical needs and engagement.
* Ensure teams have access to important information they need.
* Look for ways to improve consistency and efficiency.

What we're looking for:

* 1-3 years' experience developing interactive products
* Background in Mathematics for Grades K-8
* Proven project management and organizational skills
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Strength in self-driven performance and initiatives
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail

We'd also love to see:

* An editorial background in mathematics
* Experience with digital media
* Familiarity with project management software such as Wrike or JIRA
