Responsibilities

The Ticketing Application team's number one priority is ensuring that our various guest entry systems are delivering a stable and fast service. As a member of the team, you'll help build, troubleshoot and operate a wide variety of applications and ensure system uptime, responsiveness and security. You'll need to bring your communication skills as you'll interact with team members across the IT and Business landscape and have an opportunity to be a direct contributor of exciting and new technology.

As an Associate Programmer Analyst you will specifically help define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of guest entry systems and applications. You will work with a world-class team of programmer analysts, project managers, developers and business analysts on deploying and operating existing systems as well as contributing to new innovations.

Responsibilities

* Help analyze and document existing software solutions.
* Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support for day-to-day systems operations.
* Assist various project teams with the development of detailed test plans & conduct system testing.
* Collaborate with other UPR IT teams as needed to support the business requirements.
* Define and manage small projects, timelines, deliverables and communication to the business.
* Provide regular status reporting
* Provide support for various hardware and software upgrades.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

* 1-2 years of work experience in an IT support function
* Experience supporting a large POS application preferred
* Willingness to work weekends with short notice; Support during non-business hours as needed.
* Provide after business hours/weekend systems support for major application incidents and part of the IT on call rotation

Desired Characteristics

* Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
* Intermediate SQL database experience and knowledge of query best practices. Including triggers, stored procedures and reporting using SSRS
* 1-3 years of database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams
* Hospitality industry experience preferred
* Strong communication skills and strong technical/analytical skills
* Results oriented with willingness to work/collaborate across functional business and technical teams.
