Overview

In order to meet the growing demand of the Rates and GCT (Fixed Income, Derivatives) businesses, an experienced Java developer is required to strengthen the current global TradeGate team. This position will cover both US-specific and global development requirements for TradeGate.

TradeGate is a proprietary in-house system used for pricing, electronic trading and risk reporting used by over 500 traders globally. Its primary function is to assist the Rates and GCT desks with market making government / credit securities, but also offers electronic trading of a wide range of products (e.g. swaps, CDS, and money market derivatives) to a number of electronic markets.

Essential Technical Skills:

* Experience with Java development on Unix, Linux, or Windows
* Multithreaded coding exposure/experience
* Experience with Tibco Rendezvous, Solace, JMS or similar middleware messaging product(s)
* Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle / Sybase)
* Experience with design patterns usage
* Demonstrable experience using good testing practices

Desirable Technical Skills:

* Familiarity with Tradeweb, Bloomberg and Reuters financial systems
* Experience with Java Spring framework
* Experience with version control and build systems such as GIT, Team City, Maven, etc.

Experience:

* Experience working within an Agile development environment desirable, but not essential
* Financial services experience especially in the Fixed Income & Derivatives product area highly desirable but not essential
* You must demonstrate strong commercial aptitude / awareness and have an appreciation of the business drivers for technology

Education:

* Undergraduate Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, etc) and/or equivalent experience

* English
