* We are looking for a Systems Engineering Associate Director who wants to make a difference and contribute to developing future state-of-the-art medical device systems.
* In this role you will manage and work alongside experts in various scientific and engineering disciplines to develop complex ophthalmic diagnostics devices, and sustain existing products.
* Manage, build, and lead a group of systems design engineers with diverse engineering backgrounds
* Develop and manage initiatives to deliver tactical results to improve product features
* Provide mentorship and personal and technical development opportunities for reports and team members
* Ensure projects' technical and schedule risks are appropriately evaluated and communicate
* Staff the systems engineering group appropriately to serve the needs of the projects
* Individual and reports direct the architecture, design, analysis, and documentation of ophthalmic diagnostics systems
* Iterate on new ideas and concepts, develop prototypes and test procedures and reports
* Function as a technical on complex projects including deriving product design requirements based on top-level stakeholders' input
* Drive cross-functional trade-off reviews and drive to design decisions
* Support all aspects of documentation and design control per regulation and quality system
* Contribute to patent portfolio and strategy development
* Make decisions independently, within a clear plan of action
