JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Cable Network Services, LLC seeks a Associate Director IT to manage multiple IT projects, including application and process development projects. Responsible for the project lifecycle which includes project initiation through implementation and closures. Ensure projects are properly defined, budgeted, approved, planned, documented, resourced, scheduled, supervised and completed. Support the business unit(s) in all phases of the Project Life Cycle for small to large projects, including post-production support and ongoing customer support. Analyze current Business processes to ensure alignment with system capabilities. Serve as a liaison to the user community. Specific duties include: 1) Project initiation and analysis responsibilities which include clarifying, rationalizing and documenting project requests; overseeing requirements gathering and documentation of detailed business requirements; identifying, evaluating and recommending appropriate IT business solution; developing understanding of customer operations and applying it in researching potential solutions; participating in preparing the Business Case, Project Charter, Project Cost Justification, ROI and/or benefits evaluation, RFI, RFP, Package Selection Recommendation and other project initiation documents; participating in fiscal planning process; facilitating large-group business development planning sessions; and ensuring appropriate business participation in IT projects. 2) Project management responsibilities which include managing all aspects of the project, including budget, timeline, scope, quality and customer expectations; developing, monitoring and updating project plans; identifying, clarifying and managing project issues; selecting and managing project resources, both internal and external resources; monitoring project performance, including deliverable, resource effectiveness and quality; ensuring all application development and infrastructure standards are followed; communicating project plans, status and issues on a regular basis to project team members and management; chairing regular project team meetings, scheduling and attending Steering Committee Meetings and chairing Post Implementation review meetings; obtaining sign-offs on all project deliverables and ensuring they are maintained in Fox's project repository; working with core IT functions (e.g. architecture, infrastructure, and security) and managers of related project initiatives to ensure proper project integration; adhering to Project Office disciplines and methodologies; and utilizing project management tools and best practices aimed at increasing project success. 3) Production/customer support responsibilities which include taking ownership of functional issues by identifying underlying problems, analyzing potential solutions and implementing system resolutions, including workarounds; performing the functional analysis for production support activities; applying and enforcing department change control policies and procedures; and developing Functional Design Documents and working with technical resources to develop system enhancements or resolutions to system issues. 4) Application development responsibilities which include analyzing and documenting relevant business processes; leading interviews with customers to define requirements; defining, documenting and reviewing functional requirements; leading the detailed design and configuration phase; conducting gap analysis; owning the Integration Testing process, including development of test plans, test cases and scenarios and documentation of results; responsible for ensuring that project meets functionality requirements and expected business benefits; preparing and/or reviewing end user documentation, training materials, curriculum and schedule; conducting training classes; providing first line post implementation support to users regarding functional issues; engaging all relevant participants in change management activities, where appropriate; and facilitating large-group project related sessions, organizing and running conference room pilots. 5) Communicate plans, status and issues to management on a regular basis; and adhere to and enforce department standards, policies, procedures and industry best practices. 6) Participate in development of internal IT processes, policies and procedures; and assist in developing responses to SOX, internal audit and external audit requests as required.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate IT project management or related experience managing projects in business and IT environment, including experience in applications development and/or IT infrastructure; applications development analysis and implementation support; project resource management, including mentoring and coaching, performance management and project financial management; and working with PeopleSoft Financials.

Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related field, plus three (3) years of IT project management or related experience managing projects in business and IT environment, including experience in applications development and/or IT infrastructure; applications development analysis and implementation support; project resource management, including mentoring and coaching, performance management and project financial management; and working with PeopleSoft Financials.

* Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Working with relevant business application and project management software; 2) IT structured analysis methodologies, including process flow definition and data flow diagramming; 3) Creating simple to complex project plans, timelines and work breakdown structures using project management tools; 4) Writing and presenting project materials, including presentations and status reports; 5) Working with all levels of staff, clients and other IT personnel; and 6) Identifying and resolving system or business process/project issues.
