Our ideal candidate is as Backend Software Engineer with experience building large-scale software applications. You should be excited about the care, feeding and growth of high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems.

You will be saving lives and saving careers. You will be the lead developer for exciting web-based software applications, and you will collaborate in a team environment regarding the entire service lifecycle, from design through the development process to production. You will be supporting and enhancing our CopTrax Police Video storage Back-End located on the Azure cloud. This powerful CopTrax Command & Control Center Dashboard enhances security yet allows easy access and searchable archiving.

Our Police customer's body worn video and police car video products automatically upload video files to the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliant Microsoft Government Azure Cloud storage for 24/7 security, backup redundancy, and high-speed access.

Applied Concepts, Inc., founded in 1977, is a Richardson, Texas based Electronics Company that designs, manufactures and sells both the Stalker brand Police speed measurement products and the CopTrax brand of Police video products worldwide.

ACI, with 200 employees, has recently moved into a newly renovated 40,000 ft Engineering and Manufacturing facility. Applied Concepts is the US leader in the design, development, and sale of speed radar equipment for the Law Enforcement marketplace.

We will be particularly interested if:

* In-depth knowledge of the deploying products in an Azure environment.
* In-depth knowledge of C# in a Windows environment.

Qualifications:

* Background in full life cycle software development (particularly on backend with C #/.Net)
* Microsoft SQL Database Modeling a must
* Microsoft ASP.NET, web service with Json development a must
* Expertise with Azure Deployment
* Develop code in an Agile environment, work through all project phases and develop new features along the way
* Troubleshoot technical issues, consult with stakeholders and gather requirements
* Work in a team environment and work on a number of projects
* C/C++, in Windows & Linux experience is helpful

Required Education:

* BS degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5+ years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree

Required Skills:

* 5+ years' experience with SW development in C#/Windows
* 3+ years' experience with deployment on Azure clouds (government and commercial)
* 3+ years' experience with a formal development process

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with SW development in C#, C/C++ on Windows
* Able to work in a small team environment
* Experience with Visual Studio
* Experience with Redmine and/or Jira
* Experience with SCRUM
* Knowledge of developing software of embedded systems
* Experience using version control systems.
