Interested in driving research that in image recognition technologies to automate defect detection and disposition in Amazon's fulfillment centers? Amazon Global Fulfillment Services is seeking an Applied Research Scientist to apply and extend state-of-the-art research in AutoML to automatically develop models and feature engineering to improve our inspection success rates

You will analyze and process data, experiment with models and investigation prioritization to validate investigation success rate improvements and collaborate with developers to deploy AutoML services in production. You will also collaborate with other applied scientists to extend AutoML to Computer Vision and variational NLP solutions.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate state-of-the-art algorithms and approaches in AutoML
* Design new algorithms that improve on the state-of-the-art to drive business impact
* Collaborate with investigators and tech partners to experiment new approaches to improve investigator efficiency
* Analyze and convey results to stakeholders and contribute to the research and product roadmap
