Position Objective

Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Applications Engineer!

Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc., a leading company in the Imaging Industry specializing in Color Instrumentation and Light Measurement is seeking an Applications Engineer to Provide Technical Support/ Application Support for the Radiometric Product line to internal and external customers

Essential Job Functions

* Provide pre- and post-sales applications engineering, systems integration, and technical support for the Konica Minolta Sensing line of light measurement instrumentation.
* Assess customers measurement needs and recommend system configurations that satisfy the requirements.
* Provide pre and post-sales support to Konica Minolta Sensing's existing customers base, internal employees, sales force, and potential clients.
* Provide onsite training and installation for Konica Minolta Sensing's line of light measurement instrumentation.
* Provide on-site client demonstrations and client visits.
* Attend tradeshows and Konica Minolta Sensing hosted seminars.
* Present technical content via web seminars and on site seminars.
* Technical content generation related to light measurement instrumentation.
* Technical review of corporate marketing materials related to light measurement instrumentation.
* Support Business Unit Manager in Leading the Radiometric Team

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

* Hands on experience operating, configuring and troubleshooting spectrophotometers.
* Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills for sharing technical content to Radiometric sales team to enhance their product knowledge.
* Strong PC hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
* Up to 50% travel
* Must be proficient in MS Word, Power Point, Excel.
* Knowledge of computer programming like Matlab, Labview a plus.
* Knowledge of light and color theory and modern lighting technology a plus.

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

* BS in Optics, Physics, Engineering, Science preferred
* 3-5 years' experience in Spectroscopy applications using UV, VIS or NIR a plus.
