Job Description

Members of the ServiceNow family are considered subject matter experts responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of all components within the ServiceNow platform. ServiceNow team members work closely with Leadership, other team members, Process Owners, IS, and Operational teams to ensure that administration and implementation are conducted per policy, procedures, and best practices.

The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for all activities related to the development and maintenance of the system. Using agile principles, they manage, prioritize, plan and assign tasks to the team. They understand and support the strategic direction of MemorialCare and work closely with other teams to make sure the ServiceNow platform is working optimally for end users.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

* Responsible for the ongoing assessment, design, development and implementation of efficiencies and improvement of standard processes and new procedures by use of advanced ServiceNow functionality, including: client and server side scripting, UI policies, automated testing framework, HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, AngluarJS, Jelly Scripting, MID server setup, ACLs, Orchestration, and APIs.
* Initiates, facilitates, and leads meetings with end-user and internal staff members. Acts as user liaison between professional departments and ServiceNow Family; leads others to adhere to established industry best practices, standards, and quality.
* Apply in-depth build knowledge of ServiceNow ensuring optimal use of the current platform
* Thorough understanding of ITIL principles
* Stay abreast of current and emerging data technologies
* Identify and resolve complex problems and issues associated with the ServiceNow
* Maximize the maintainability of the ServiceNow platform
* Design, development, and implement, ServiceNow integrated testing and training
* Transform business and technical requirements into implementation plans and develop technical specifications
* Act as user liaison between professional departments and ServiceNow Family
* Deliver efficiencies and improvements of standard processes and new procedures
* Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix ServiceNow issues

Experience

* Minimum 7 years of ServiceNow development experience required
* Minimum of 2 full lifecycles of ServiceNow implementations in a lead role demonstrated
* Past success with programming expertise in Java, JavaScript or other similar functional programming language
* Proven progressive project management experience working independently as well as in a team situation meeting aggressive deadlines
* Past experience leading projects requiring an end-to-end workflow perspective, a high-level overall understanding of ServiceNow, and considerable knowledge of ServiceNow end users
* Demonstrated use of relevant "out of the box thinking" in conjunction with organization wide standardization
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and managing multiple priorities
* Proven ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis
* Past success leading meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties for business requirements and technical solutions
* Experience working with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, and interacting with all levels of the organization
* Proven familiarity with relational databases
* Experienced planning and organizing day-to-day activities
* Demonstrated use of effective communication and interpersonal relations to achieve established goals

Education

* Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
* ITIL certification preferred
* ServiceNow Administrator certification required
* Project Management certification (PMP, CSM, etc.) preferred
