Applications Architect - Epic myChart

Job Description

The Applications Architect independently provides specific systems consulting, systems analysis, and overall leadership related to the acquisition and use of complex Clinical, Population Health and Patient Portal applications primarily Epic myChart throughout MemorialCare entities.

The Applications Architect participates in and/or manages all phases of large and small projects and is accountable for the success of enterprise wide projects, repairs, process improvements, and overall benefits realization. The Applications Architect works closely with business leadership to understand the short and long term business plans, elicit requirements, work with leadership to identify and implement technology solutions to support plans.

Experience

* In-depth understanding of key business applications and related information technologies


* High energy levels and tolerance for tight deadlines and time pressures


* Minimum 5 years experience as a Sr. Applications Specialist, Sr. Technical Specialist, or similar experience


* Proven analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills


* High-level project management experience


* Good communications skills, both verbal and written


* Working knowledge of PCs, collaborative computing tools, re-engineering and process improvement techniques, information management in healthcare, general information architectures and technology, systems integration, laws, and regulations relevant to assigned applications


* Requires minimum 5 years of healthcare application experience


* Requires minimum 3 years' experience with applications and/or tools in assigned areas


* Experience with myChart web server a plus



Education

* Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, and/or licensed healthcare professional desirable
* Working knowledge of specific Epic Patient Portal, Clinical and Population Health applications/modules such as myChart with "Certification" and/or "Proficiency" required
* Certification and/or Proficiency in Ambulatory EpicCare preferred
