Unisys is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Applications and Asset Management Lead to join our team in Washington, DC to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Unisys is looking to hire a Systems Development Task Lead who has demonstrated 7+ years of experience and knowledge managing large application development teams on a Government platform. This position will oversee a 10+-member team delivering a full breadth of IT services, including application development, deployment, testing, quality control, security, network upgrades, and cloud migration. The Systems Development Task Lead will collaborate with our customer to leverage leading edge IT solutions to improve their mission effectiveness while continuously seeking opportunities to increase efficiency. This position is responsible for the program's IT application and asset management delivery of well-developed systems, maintaining and developing project schedules, managing deliverables, managing risk and quality, and Service Level Agreements. The candidate will be familiar with systems development life cycles that include waterfall and agile. Implement innovations to include automation, DevOps, and develop cloud migration plans. The System Development Task Lead and direct reports will provide support for both legacy and modernization of systems within the agency and work with our chief engineer in building a solid IT Modernization Roadmap.

Responsibilities include:

* Deliver weekly status reports with consistent SLAs and key performance indicator metrics
* Supervising application build, test, and deploy activities.
* Collaborate with technical (Operations) and business teams and implement scheduled projects required by our customer.
* Assure development team is adhering to the required creation of Standard Operations Procedures as new functions are implemented.
* Analyze and review system designs, business processes, operating system procedures and training materials related to project deliverables.
* Manages and maintains relationships with business, IT and subcontractor organizations for the application portfolio
* Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization's success
* Receives assignments from customer and based on priorities, determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
* Reviewing detailed estimates to ensure that they are reasonable and aligned to historical norms
* Work closely with the Core Enterprise Working Group to align project implementations align with the Enterprise Roadmap.
* Works with the Project Manager to manage cost, staffing, and execution across multiple projects.
* Lead and support initiatives that promote development of department organizational capabilities.

Requirements

Qualifications:

* Deliver weekly status reports with consistent SLAs and key performance indicator metrics
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT experience and 7+ years of management experience
* A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline.
* Experience in planning initiatives including creation of business cases, formation of projects and schedules.
* Demonstrated delivery of multiple complex projects
* Demonstrated partnership with business clients and value proposition of projects/portfolio
* PMP and ITIL v3 Certifications
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and Sr. Management to convey technology solutions to business stakeholders
* Ability to manage cross departmental relationships
* Strong verbal and written communication skills;
* Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as primary goal
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
