Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Application Test Specialist III responsible for software quality in transformation initiatives involving integrations, data migrations, and software configurations. Specific duties include: develop, document, execute, and maintain technical test cases and automated test suites, utilize testing tools as required for (may include integration, system, regression, performance/stress/volume); assess and implement various testing methodologies or tools to improve efficiency, work with DevOps tools facilitating Continuous Integration and Delivery/Deployment; leverage automation tools/frameworks to validate application stability; conducts in depth analysis of testing processes and methodologies and develops new/revised standards; work with code versioning tools as needed; analyze system and business requirements for testability; perform web service testing using necessary API tools; report status of test plan execution by generating test execution metrics, defect logs/defect tracking system; involve in test data management; ensure that acceptance criteria are met; assist with resolution of environmental issues; support application development, implementation, and user training activities; analyze test results; assist with troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis; validate system design; develop test plans, including test scenarios, test objectives, quality criteria and measurement techniques; support the configuration/change management groups, as necessary, to ensure smooth transition of code through the lifecycle; assist in training of other Testing Specialists; oversee workflow and work distribution within testing area; develop and execute database queries as needed; coordinate activities to meet service levels; support the needs of User Acceptance Testing; validate acceptance criteria for testing phase; maintain knowledge of business unit processes/products to ensure application adheres to functional and quality requirements; provide guidance on the usage of testing tools and development of test scenario, test objective, and test case to Levels I and II Testing Specialists; participate in depth analysis and development of new or revised standards, methodologies, and processes within testing; and develop training material, as necessary.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication, Science, Engineering or related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Senior Associate â Projects, IT Analyst, or similar experience in Software testing of Insurance processes in Commercial and Personal business areas. Must have at least 5 years of experience with each of the following: performing Smoke testing, Functional Integration, System Testing, and Regression; and attending business meetings with customers on the requirements and goals, analyzing them, and preparing test plan and test approach. Must also have at least 4 years of experience working with each of the following: completing the test processes in Auto, Property, and Workers Compensation lines of business; developing and executing regression scripts; working with Test Management and Effort Estimation; monitoring Test Execution and reporting metrics to clients; and performing UAT Testing. Additionally, must have at least 2 years of experience with each of the following: working with Guidewire products such as ClaimCenter; providing recommendations during Guidewire product testing; working with developers to deliver user stories in an Agile environment; working with automation tools such as Selenium or UFT; working with defect management tools such as Teamtrack, JIRA, or HP ALM; working in Web Service Testing using SOAP; working in Oracle Database and SQL; working with programming languages such as JAVA; and being involved in meetings with solution design teams. Specific experience must also include: working with DevOps tools such as JENKINS to enable continuous Integration; working with code versioning tools such as GitHub; and adopting best practices in testing concepts to improve team's efficiency.
