Job Description

Zurich is currently searching for an Application Systems Specialist to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

As a key member of the Information Technology team within Customer Distribution and Underwriting Services, she/he will focus on supporting and advising on the development of applications for the Distribution Management System by understanding the requirements of customers and recommending application performance improvements to ensure alignment with business requirements.

The Application Systems Specialist acts as liaison between the Business and IT and will have responsibility in managing broker incentive programs, interacting with various stakeholders, supporting implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues and providing training. Will have responsibility for supporting projects of varying complexity.

High Level Client Internally Focused - The job's core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the executive or Sr. Management level. Includes using subject matter expertise to address advanced, high-level questions and issues.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

OR
* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong communication skills and experienced communicating at all levels of the organization
* Producer Appointment and License and Incentive knowledge preferred
* Knowledge of financial services industry
* Project management or leading projects experience preferred
