Job Description

ASRC Federal Research and Technology Solutions' focus is on technical and complex, mission-oriented services with contracts supporting federal government agencies. Our team of scientists and professional management personnel allows us to bring real-world experience to meet the growing demand for solutions to some of the most complex problems in aviation, IT management, aviation, and Earth and space sciences. We are seeking an Application Support Specialist to support a government contract in Sterling, VA.

Must be a US Citizen to meet contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Provide client Application support inclusive of data verification and application authentication.
* Provide Tier 3 client support to end users.
* Internal and external technical operations support including identifying and troubleshooting technical issues and recommend solutions for process improvement.
* Support the development, configuration and test of new features, applications and fill specific customer needs.
* Perform daily Registration Authority system operations, certificate enrollment and support.

Requirements:

* Knowledge of current enterprise technologies; such as virtualization, programming, web services, LDAP, PKI.
* Familiarity with Oracle Image & Process Management (IPM).
* System background in a Windows environment, Windows Server 2003 / 2008.
* Familiarity with Oracle Database 11G.
* Familiarity with VB scripting.
* Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and client commitments concurrently.
* Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
* Must be a US Citizenship.
* Must be able to obtain/maintain a position of Public Trust Clearance.

Education/Experience:

* 2+ years of experience within IT.
* BS degree in IT related field highly desired.
