What is the opportunity?

The Production & Risk Service group is looking for a seasoned application support analyst to support our risk firewall platform that is leverage across an array of business lines within Global Markets. We support fast paced businesses with evolving needs and requirements. Your ability to take ownership of requests and issue resolution combined with a natural sense of curiosity and pride in a job well done will help you success in the role.

What will you do?

* Responsible for ensuring maximum system availability and prompt and accurate remediation of issues and response to requests
* Proactive management and governance of our risk firewall platform
* Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and standing order guidelines
* Leverage automation to drive efficiency and to improve our operating environment
* Liaise between Business, Compliance, Surveillance and Technology to help conduct regular review and to ensure connectivity required to achieve our collective objectives
* Provide effective incident, problem and release management and regular project updates to stakeholders
* Help drive IT governance and de-risking initiatives
* Conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions and documentation of support related information.
* Support the integration of new releases, bug fixes, patches and configuration changes into production, including post implementation verification (PIV) and training and communication to stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

* Proven ability to collaborate well with others, be strategically focused and constantly looking to improve our environment
* Prior in-depth experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise-wide, global trading and risk platforms
* Consistently seeking to automate; Strong scripting skills (i.e., Python, PERL, etc.)
* Solid working understanding of LINUX and SQL (including database concepts)
* Good organization skills and a keen attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent
* Ability to context switch and thrive in a fast pace environment
* Strong interpersonal skills and self-starter attitude
