Job Description

Specific Skills:

API Developers and/or API Management SMEs with APIM or competing technology experience (e.g. IBM DataPower, Apigee, MuleSoft, TIBCO, etc..). Candidates with Web services experience and strong UNIX skills is a must for a unique opportunity to pursue a career within the API Management (APIM) space. Candidates should have a dedicated work ethic and the ability to learn quickly. As this resource will be primarily focused on working with government agencies, candidates must TS/SCI with a CI Poly.

APIM Summary Job Responsibilities

* Work with internal and client-side resources to deploy and support API Management in high availability environments
* Conduct deployment and optimization tasks across the full API Management life cycle including design, creation, orchestration, protection, testing, deployment, promotion, and monitoring.
* Analyze and execute significant infrastructure updates and product upgrades
* Collaborate with other members of the team as well as client side resources

* Demonstrated working knowledge of web servers, clients and browsers, LDAP directories, and Oracle or Microsoft Server databases
* Knowledge of common network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTPS, VPN
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Web application servers, SAML, XML, SOAP and web services is strongly preferred
* Experience with Apigee, MuleSoft, DataPower, or CA APIM is a strong plus

Preferred Education

* Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or business related field.

Work Experience

* Typically 7 or more years of work experience as an IT professional are required for this position.
* Must be educated in Information Technology and prefer a minimum of 4 years experience designing solutions in an IT professional services organization.
* Strong business knowledge is required to properly align COTS solutions with customer requirements and expectations.
* Industry specific experience is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

* Demonstrate ability to design software technology at a complex level for single Business Unit multi-product solutions and/or cross Business Unit multi-product integrated solutions of chosen expertise.
* Proven comprehension of solutions capabilities and how the solution is designed to be integrated into the client environment.
* Must possess advanced technology troubleshooting skills for products of chosen expertise and for complex integrated solutions.
* Ability to understand, design, assess, scope and communicate how solution(s) of chosen expertise resolve typical client business needs.
* Execute an above average business level of written and oral professional communication in local language and/or English.

Certifications

Industry certification with active status as required; i.e. CISSP, ITIL, etc...

Within first 90 days must achieved CA Technologies product training and certification in chosen solutions of expertise as agreed to by your Manager. Also complete all associated solution training.

External hardware, operating system or specific technology certifications are a plus.
