Position Summary

The Specialist role is responsible for continuously improving Gas Supply Operations (GSO) safety, regulatory compliance, performance and efficiency through the development, deployment and implementation of software applications and information technology. The role is required to architect and implement advanced application integration solutions and configure, deploy and enhance enterprise cloud applications. The role will also be responsible for supporting GSO field personnel for access to cloud applications. A great candidate will have a passion for acquiring, analyzing, transforming and integrating data across multiple Cloud applications and the ability to interact with individuals with diverse backgrounds and job functions. This is a very hands-on role and requires a structured mindset and solid implementation skills. Qualified candidates will have a solid knowledge of enterprise asset management systems, application development, application integration and data analysis.

Tasks and Responsibilities

* Engage directly with the Stake Holders to participate in design and development of data integration/transformation solutions according to functional requirements
* Perform debugging, troubleshooting, modifications and unit testing of integration solutions
* Support, monitor, execute production application jobs and processes
* Participate in the development of documentation, technical procedures and user support guides
* Handle requests from various business units for operational data needed from GSO applications - also identifies ways to automate such requests and/or facilitate self-serve for business units for data/reports
* Use in-depth knowledge and expertise to perform analysis of data within GSO applications to ensure accuracy of regulatory information
* Develop and maintain performance metrics within GSO applications to be used by GSO management
* Creates and constantly improves operational dashboards for GSO
* Convert GSO paper-based documentation to electronic
* Enhance cloud applications to provide GSO management the ability to analyze O&M and capital expenditures for budgeting and forecasting
* Architect, implement and maintain electronic document repositories for GSO
* Communicates with vendors and corporate IT to evaluate new software applications and resolve current software application problems
* Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

* Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or computer science discipline is required
* 5+ Years of experience with system/data integration, development or implementation of enterprise and/or cloud software is required
* Advanced level proficiency using - IBM COGNOS and PL-SQL is required
* Solid experience with APIs (RESTful and SOAP) is preferred
