Job Description

The Application Engineer has primary technical responsibility for all system development projects related to PeopleSoft, including development of custom enhancements, interfaces, conversions, reports, production support, and implementation of vendor hot fix and version upgrades.

Job Tasks

* Gather requirements and propose solutions
* Transform functional requirements into technical design at all technology levels.
* Help to create functional and technical deign
* Build the solution.
* Help end-users test the solution. Help to set up test data.
* Diagnose bugs and incidents. Trace unexpected results back to errors in the solution. Fix bugs and solve incidents.
* Answer end-user questions.
* Assist in doing deployments of new functionality, merging the work of multiple developers. Ensure a reliable and efficient deployment process.
* Do daily monitoring on all environments. Ensure all web applications run reliably and efficiently.

Education, Certifications & Experience

Minimum Education/Certifications:

* A/BS in Computer Science or equivalent field.

Preferred Education/Certifications:

* Completed coursework in PeopleTools I&II, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Application Messaging, Component Interface, Security, System

Minimum Experience:

* 3-5 years with large-scale PeopleSoft full lifecycle implementation projects.
* 3-5 years with PeopleSoft development tools and release 8.x version products
* Demonstrated expertise developing technical design specifications, building robust and solid custom modules, planning and conducting all types of system testing including unit, integration, parallel, regression, performance, etc.

Preferred Experience

* Experience with HR, T&L, Payroll, Benefits, Pay/Bill, Contracts, Projects, Staffing or Billing modules.
* Experience with SQL Server/Windows environment.
