We are seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Application Developer to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Job Description:

The Application Developer designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Acts as team leader on projects. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team. Participates in development of software user manuals.

Requirements

Qualifications:

* Minimum 4 years of experience providing application support, specializing in COTS applications to include all common office productivity tools. Experience developing applications using Java J2EE
* Proficiency with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum. Proficiency with Jira/Confluence
* Experience in Java /JEE development, .Net development, PHP, Maximo, SharePoint and C#.
* Proficiency with DevOps approach and Continuous Integration\Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) toolchains.
* Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and creating shell scripts
* Expertise with SQL and experience working with Oracle
* Good understanding of enterprise architectural patterns including J2EE design patterns
* Experience in designing, coding, debugging, and maintaining software applications and release management
* Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand requirements, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations
* Present software solutions at formal and informal design reviews, and document design according to the Government's system lifecycle methodology
* Support Legacy application modernization efforts by actively participating in solution efforts.

Desired Skills:

* 6 years of experience in development life cycle methodologies including waterfall and Agile. Experience in production support, technical issue debugging, research, and investigation.
* Minimum 4 years of specialized experience. Associates degree or IT certification with 6 years specialized experience. 6 years of intensive progressive experience in performing computer programming and systems analysis in IT and web site applications
* Must have at least one certification or equivalent from the following list and maintain throughout the task order: MCSD, MTA, AWS Certified Developer, Oracle APEX, Oracle OCP, OCM, and OCE). Multiple certifications preferred.
* Experience with SQL Database Technologies
* Clearance: Public Trust eligibility

Preferred Skills:

* BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline.
