The Special Projects and Initiatives Team in the ISD Customer Applications Branch is seeking an Application Developer II to support Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services cloud-based software development initiatives. The Application Developer II will take an active role in developing custom software solutions in a cloud-based environment while being a supporting member in an Agile software development team.

Essential Job Functions

Codes, tests, and debugs cloud-based application programs to create new business applications and interfaces or maintains/modifies existing business applications according to program specifications.

Gathers software requirements and creates technical documentation for new cloud-based applications or enhancements to an existing application.

Develops, configures, and supports application development projects using cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.

Develops specifications for routine application enhancements; documents functional requirements, epics, features, user stories, and tasks.

Automates software deployment using source control management systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.

Conducts code review and provides feedback to the programming team.

Active contributing member of an Agile development team.

Additional Information

Desirable Qualifications:

* Application development experience with C#, .NET Framework, Visual Studio.
* Web application development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MVC, ASP.NET.
* Cloud development experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure.
* Web service development experience with REST, JSON.
* Database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Stored Procedures using T-SQL.
* Version control systems experience with Git.
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
