Our Epic team  is comprised of over 150 IT professionals focused on streamlining the way we share patient information across clinical providers and business systems users, with the goal of making each patient’s experience seamless and patient-centered. The team includes Application & Clinical Analysts, Business Intelligence Analysts, Access & Revenue Cycle Analysts, Credentialed Trainers, Instructional Designers, Software Engineers, and their management. This elite organization takes pride in having completed our initial Epic implementation fully half a year ahead of schedule. 

 

This position is on our Epic Users and Security team, focused on the User Master File, User Security and Provider Master File Management. In this cross application support role, you will contribute to the administration of the end user and provider account creation and management processes, participate in daily system maintenance activities, collaborate with other application analysts on database and application configurations, system definitions and security settings and provide end user support via incident and request resolution. Over time and with proficiency, you will have the opportunity to work with various Epic tools including administration of Data Courier, UserWeb, Nova, Sherlock, Orion and Signal.

 

Responsibilities include:

* Analyze, configure, test and support the respective modules of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) software and related analytics, with minimal supervision.
* Perform system configuration functions utilizing and/or with assistance of on-line architectural tools, in-house documentation or support from other members of the team.
* Interact with operational end users from clinical, business and Information systems departments, to address user permission, workflow and experience changes and issues.
* Update and maintain appropriate and accurate process & procedure documentation regarding application(s) / modules supported by the team.
* Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support on a 24x7 rotating basis. Work with the help desk and other application support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them.
* Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modification. Document all outcomes of testing.
* Attend meetings and participate on committees as required / directed.
* Provide status reports to management when required.
* Perform other related duties as required.

 

Requirements include:

 

* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Excellent communications skills
* Ability to learn and adapt quickly to our fast-paced environment
* Information systems background/knowledge
* Familiarity with SQL
* Excel proficiency
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
* Obtaining Epic certification as Security Coordinator within 12 months of hire is a condition of employment
