Job Description

Virgin Pulse - part of Sir Richard Branson's world-renowned Virgin Group - is looking for an exceptionally talented Android Developer to advance our award-winning products.

You'll be a key member of the Engineering team, working side-by-side with a multi-discipline team. You'll work closely with product managers, engineering and marketing leadership to create stunning products that enhance the user engagement.

In short, you'll help make our products beautiful, fun and easy to use.

This role reports to the Mobile Application Team Lead and is a full-time employment position.

Our ideal Android Developer has extensive hands on experience with:

* End-to-end development of Android apps including the user interface
* Monitor customer reviews and provide guidance on solutions
* Analyze and improve app performance in production
* Test applications across various Android devices
* Prototype new ideas using latest SDK tools

Requirements:

* 3+ years of experience in native Android development
* Must have one or more Androids apps currently in the Google Play Store.
* Bluetooth Low Energy development a plus
* Experience with Kit Kat (4.4) development a plus, 4.3 required
* Experience with RESTful APIs
* Familiarity with Android SDK/Studio and Android Emulator
* Database development experience using SQLiteOpenHelper required
* Experience with TextureView a plus
* Hands on experience with testing across multiple Android devices
* Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
* Proven ability to work in a team environment
* BS in computer science or relevant technical discipline required
