Responsibilities

The Analytics Technical Lead will be responsible for the overall delivery, coordination and tracking of projects, programs, and initiatives of the Analytics COE. Initially this role will be responsible for the NBCSports Marketing initiative called Wingspan, which focuses on audience segmentation and attribution of digital campaigns. This will include developing, maintaining project plans, resources, risk identification, risk mitigation, timelines and partnering with business and technology divisions to increase productivity and revenue opportunities for NBCUniversal. This role is a key leadership position within the Analytics COE group and requires an individual capable of managing large-scale software engineering initiatives, as well as interfacing with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate would have a background in leading BI/Analytics projects from inception and be equally comfortable engaging with data engineers/architects regarding implementing data pipelines as with interfacing with senior leadership regarding timelines and risks.

* Partner with the product and engineering teams to define, implement and operationalize analytical workflows as the integration lead
* Manage the complete development process including planning, design, implementation, testing, debugging and tuning, as well as iterative post-production enhancements
* Design, implement, and maintain standard processes & methodologies to be as agile as possible for project/program execution
* Support and troubleshoot issues (process & system), identify root cause, and proactively recommend sustainable corrective actions
* Drive project initiation, scoping, and planning
* Develop & manage project plans, and user stories.
* Run SRUM meetings and Stand-ups and IPM's and maintain the AGILE ceremonies
* Act as the single point of contact for stakeholders, and raise issues and risks when necessary
* Develop staffing and resource management plans
* Assess project/program progress, and provide status updates to leadership
* Evaluate project risk(s) and effectively create mitigation plans
* Develop standard communication protocols and documentation templates
* Collaborate with business users, internal and external technology teams in order to deliver a scalable application that exceeds requirements ensuring compliance with enterprise standards
* Identify new opportunities, tools, and services to enhance the custom software platform

Qualifications/Requirements

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* 3+ years' experience in project/program management in technology groups
* Familiarity with video delivery, CDN technologies, content management systems
* Experience leading in an Agile environment; knowledge of SCRUM framework a plus
* 3+ years' experience in Business Intelligence, and/or Data Warehousing highly desirable
* 3+ years engaging in marketing or finance applications (Adobe Analytics etc) highly desirable
* Background in digital marketing initiatives
* Proven degree of success in leadership roles for software initiatives
* Deep experience creating and maintaining complex project plans
* Strong understanding of BI toolsets and Data visualizations (strong grasp of SQL)
* Strong understanding of digital marketing and digital products a huge plus
* Strong understanding of Adobe analytics and its various data integration points a huge plus
* Strong presentation skills, from creation of a PowerPoint document to the actual delivery
* Experience in creating resource plans, estimating efforts, and mitigating resource risks
* Strong experience with core Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint)
* Comfortable in rolling up their sleeves with the development teams as well as engaging with VP/SVP level stakeholders
* Experience working with teams comprised of employees and consultants from multiple vendors
* Hands on experience with meeting facilitation, task management, time management, taking minutes, managing documentation, and action item management in both formal and informal settings
* Able to quickly learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented
* Driven to utilize both proven and unique solutions to address business problems until issue is resolved
* Undergraduate degree in the field of computer science or engineering or focus on statistical analysis or equivalent experience highly desired. Master's degree in related proficiencies strongly preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or Engineering (or equivalent relevant work experience). Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems is highly desirable
