Job Description

The Healthcare Analytics Data Integration Developer Sr.'s role is to deliver analytics application capabilities to the organization, through data analysis, data profiling, extraction and transformations, basic data modeling, leveraging the appropriate data Integration tool. This includes, but is not limited to our existing investments in SAP Data Integration tools, Data Services, Information Steward and Metadata Management tools.

Being an independent role with minimum supervision, will be capable of developing complete solutions ranging from simple to medium complexity, analyzing, extracting and integrating data into enterprise data repository for existing and new data sources, enriching Master Data Repositories and Metadata Dictionaries in the process, and providing appropriate support to other team members to meet the clinical or business intelligence needs of the customer.

In collaboration with other members of the Data Strategy & Reporting team, adheres to Lean and Agile-based standard work processes to ensure that the hallmark of this team's efforts are timely, defect-free deliverables.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

* Participates and manages multiple data integration projects, ability to multitask with minimum guidance and is a self-starter.
* Develop project plan, project roadmap and strategizes the project execution from inception to completion.
* Adheres to standards as defined by the Data Architect, validates model and participates in peer review sessions with the Data Architect
* Processes and analyzes information from any relevant and available MemorialCare data source in support of the mission of the organization.
* Studies data sources by analyzing application, analyzing, defining and validating data, identifying the relationship among data objects and performing basic data modeling activities.
* Develops a robust and extensible data acquisition and integration solution for low to medium complexity systems to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business.
* Works under the guidance of data architect or other senior team members to data model, analyze and understand the source and target data systems to be able to map from one to the other. Defines and captures any additional metadata associated with data handling processes.
* Develops and maintains data extraction scripts using MemorialCare' s EIM toolset from enterprise and local data sources, populating data warehouse and metadata repository data models in supporting existing and new applications.
* Optimize query and database performance by applying best practices in database, data model and query tuning techniques.
* Works closely with customers and technical team members, initiating and maintaining positive and proactive relationships and work collaboratively with technical team members to deliver data integration solutions that are high performance, rapid response time, and as close to real-time as possible. Understands the downstream use of data for effective customer consumption.
* Stays current on analytics technology and methods, both for systems in use by MemorialCare, and in the industry at-large.
* Adheres to and promotes best practices and standard work for all recurring activities.
* Provide technical and administrative support of complex, enterprise-wide analytics systems to ensure data integrity and proper system functioning.
* Stays current on analytics technology and methods, both for systems in use by MemorialCare, and in the industry at-large.

Experience

* Minimum 5 years related work experience required.
* Experience in using relational database technology, including writing, debugging and performance tuning SQL queries.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, to be able to work with Data Architect, customers as well as infrastructure support teams.
* Experience with Enterprise Data Integration tools, such as SAP EIM, Informatica, SQL Server SSIS.
* Data warehouse, data modeling experience preferred.
* Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics preferred.
* Formal training in the use of an enterprise integration management software solution preferred.
