Agile Team Coach

Location: San Ramon, CA

Duration: 12 months

Description:

Position Summary:

As an Agile Coach, you will be responsible to train, mentor and coach teams on the Agile mindset and practices, by overseeing the development and growth of agile teams.

As an Agile Team Coach, you will:

* Counsel teams on Agile Frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, to guide them in defining and achieving their success criteria
* Coach teams to achieve self-organization, team accountability, and encourage transparency and trust between business and development teams
* Develop and deliver Agile trainings based on company approved training materials
* Enable servant-leadership and embody Agile values and principles
* Guide teams to create an environment that fosters psychological safety, transparency, inspection and adoptions, and trial and error
* Guide and direct teams in understanding and implementing effective metrics for activities that impact value-driven delivery

Required Experience and Education:

Your experience in motivating and coaching cross-functional teams is supported with:

* Deep knowledge of Agile and Lean Methodology, Scrum and Kanban frameworks
* Familiarity with common Scaled Agile Frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a team member on an Agile team, or as a Project Manager
* Minimum 4-6 years hands-on experience serving as a Scrum Master, Scrum of Scrum, or Product Owner on a team
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an Agile Coaching role helping teams efficiently deliver customer value
* Hands-on experience participating in Agile Transformation efforts within small to medium-size organizations
* Experience working within a highly regulated environment strongly desired; preferably in the financial services industry
* Experience working with multiple culturally diversified and geographically distributed teams
* Excellent conflict resolution and facilitation skills
* Strong presentation and training skills
* Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM or CSP-PO) or equivalent
* ICAgile Certified Agile Coach, preferred
* Bachelor's degree, required
