ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Agile Coach will be the key supporter, teacher, and influencer for multiple production teams. By working closely with Scrum Masters, engineering teams, and product managers you will help to build a software development culture of adaptation and improvement. You will assist production leadership in evolving how their teams collaborate and operate. As the champion for Agile adoption within the teams, your ultimate focus will be to empower engineers and product managers to create software efficiently and in a scalable manor by leveraging Agile principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coach multiple production teams in Lean-Agile practices through various approaches
Be an effective influencer of individuals and groups through both one-on-one and group coaching
Influence the continuous evolution of software development processes
Be a trustworthy peer to teams by being the reliable source for Agile improvement solutions and a champion for improvement experiments
Work closely with Engineering and Product Management to guide the Agile transformation organizationally
Leverage software development metrics to inform coaching strategies and training
Coordinate with international counterparts in Europe and China
Ability to attend off-hour conference calls occasionally to coordinate with counterparts in other time zones
Ability to travel internationally periodically

ABOUT YOU:
Required:
5+ years of experience coaching Agile teams at a technology company
2+ years as a software developer in an Agile team
A deep understanding of software engineering practices in a commercial, fast paced, global technology company
Expert understanding of Lean-Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, etc.)
Have a "Servant Leadership" mentality depending on the day you may need to teach, mentor, coach, or facilitate
Experience navigating a dynamic organization with many moving pieces
Self-starter who can proactively find and drive opportunities to help the teams they work with
Have a mindset of continuous learning and improvement
Be adaptable, diplomatic, and empathetic in your approach and demeanor while engaging teams
Can easily build trust with teams and individuals (both local and remote) through effective interpersonal skills and action-oriented execution
Be able to speak technically with engineers and product managers
Strong working knowledge of JIRA in conjunction with Agile methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or similar experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Based in New York, NY
Desired:
Scaled-Agile Framework SAFe 4 Program Consultant (SPC) Certification (or similar)
Scaled-Agile Framework SAFe Agilist (SA) Certification (or similar)
Experience as a Scrum Master
Experience training large groups on Lean-Agile methodologies
Experience leading Agile transformations
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SmartSheet, and Confluence
Knowledge of Jenkins and Github
Working knowledge of Tableau and/or Looker
