Aegis Virtualization Analyst/Engineer

Job Description

ICI Services is looking for a Mid- to Senior-Level Analyst/Engineer to support our U.S. Navy Aegis Program Office customer in Washington, DC on the Aegis Virtualization Project. We are looking for a motivated candidate to provide program office and technical support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS 1.0) located at the Washington Navy Yard. PEO IWS 1.0 manages surface ship combat technologies and systems and coordinates Navy Open Architecture across ship platforms. ICI Services is a mid-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Services, and Technical Services to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia.

Security Clearance:

* Applicant must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

Responsibilities:

* Provide technical and program management support in the execution of Aegis Virtualization Project
* Prepare high level program briefings, coordinate meetings, monitor schedules and coordinate across all applicable IWS Program Area
* Prepare and/or assist in executive level briefs for flag level meetings and senior executives as it relates to the Aegis Virtualization Project
* Manage and/or assist in Aegis Virtualization Project budget planning, contract planning and Task planning.
* Interface with stakeholders and parties responsible for (or those that support) activities such as Program Manager Representatives (PMR), PEO Ships, Naval Surface Warfare Centers, NAVSEA 05, Combat System Port Engineers, SEA 21, PEO C4I, relevant PARMs who manage the various weapon and C4I systems being utilized and PEO IWS stakeholder directorates outside of PEO IWS 1.0
* Draft required technical and program correspondence, develop meeting agendas and records of discussion and other documents in accordance with standard formats and protocols
* Support Program Objective Memoranda (POM) technical issue paper development and PEO oversight documentation/reporting, program management related documents, ensuring alignment with requisite stakeholders and program guidance/priorities.
* Help develop solutions to complex technical problems that require combat system or subject matter expertise
* Assist in identifying Aegis combat system functional and operational requirements and manage program risk mitigation efforts and capability improvements.
* Responsible for communicating and coordinating engineering and programmatic activities with Navy stakeholder offices and manage Aegis Virtualization installation and test efforts

Experience Requirements:

* Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are required with various levels of the Navy and Industry. Tact and diplomacy in demeanor are essential
* Self-starting and disciplined work ethic required characteristics for successful candidate
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and provide responsive technical support in a dynamic and complex organization/team environment
* Proficient in MS Office software suite
* Work is performed primarily at office location adjacent to the Washington Navy Yard (WNY) or On-Site at WNY PEO IWS Offices with ability to travel periodically in support of PEO IWS 1.0 staff. (Estimated <10%)
* Ship combat system knowledge
* Experience serving on US Navy combatant ships in a combat system related rating or junior officer billet OR at least two years serving in a program office, shipyard or field activity supporting the development or maintenance of US Navy Combat Systems
* Familiarity with PEO IWS organization, NAVSEA Field Activities and PARM relationships
* Knowledge of DoD Programming, Planning and Budget Process
* Systems engineering
* DoD acquisition experience/knowledge and familiarity with the Federal/DoD Acquisition Requirements (FAR/DFAR)
* Project Management background/certification

Educational Requirements:

* BS degree or comparable Navy Operational or Program Office experience is required
