Job Summary:

The position is located in Reston, Virginia supporting the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization (JIDO) J-6 in the Capabilities Research Analysis Cell (CRAC). Applicant will be serve as a technical subject-matter expert and advisor to the J6 and JIDO leadership in the areas of evolving and exploited technologies supporting defeat of emerging improvised threats. Applicant will serve as a Key Person on the contract in a leadership role. Position requires applicant to possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Essential Job Functions:

* Knowledge of or experience in one or more of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence and related field(s), Video Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Social Media Analytics, Big Data Analytics, Data Sciences and/or Visualization
* Ability to collaborate effectively with counterparts in academia, government laboratories and industry on areas of value to the JIDO
* Experience working and leading teams in a technical, project, or program management role in a Federal Government or industry-based Research and Development (R&D) environment
* Ability to quickly understand a rapidly changing mission environment, and to communicate effectively and convey knowledge in senior leadership meetings
* Ability to capture requirements, understand customer needs, and develop methodologies to conceptualize/refine technical approaches to achieve customer needs
* Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and lead teams to successful completion of projects
* Ensure the quality, timeliness, and completeness of contract deliverables for the team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver effective briefings to senior Government leadership and non-technical audiences
* Maintain positive and professional working relationships with government Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, reports, legal documents, etc.
* Prepare reports and presentations to company management and/or customer
* Respond to inquiries from customers, management, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
* Oversee daily activities of area or customer
* Support development and/or execution of company policies, procedures, & guidance (may not apply to all)
* Ability to identify and solve problems
* Ability to manage time & resources
* Ability to delegate implementation plans to subordinate members of group and effectively supervise execution of implementation plans by team member
* Good interpersonal skills
* Effective communicator

Education and/or training:

Degree Required:

* Master's degree or higher in an advanced technical field of study (e.g., Computer Science, engineering disciplines, software development, applied mathematics, etc.)

Years ILO experience:

* Bachelor of Science in a technical field of study (e.g., Computer Science, engineering disciplines, software development, applied mathematics, etc.) with 10 years or more of experience

Physical / Special Requirements

* Required: Active TS/SCI
* Required: A minimum of five years of experience evaluating and/or delivering IT technology support to DoD organizations; preferably CCMDs, deployed forces, or tactical operations.
* Highly Desired: Experience with development, prototyping, testing & engineering methodologies or oversight of those activities
* Desired: Government or contractor experience working in DoD or Intelligence Community R&D organizations such as DARPA, IARPA or other R&D entities
* Desired: Prior experience performing in a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contractor role
* Desired: Knowledge of government contracting, funding and grant processes, etc.
* Desired: Active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project or Program Management Professional certification and/or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification.
* Desired: Possesses one or more cloud security or cloud-related technology certifications. This certification shall be from one of the following organizations or an equivalent: EMC, Microsoft, VMware, or IBM.
