The Administrative Platform Consultant provides technical support services and oversee testing, maintenance, quality assurance, and improvement of all administrative and operations technology platforms. Serves as the primary liaison for outside technology vendors, and internal stakeholders. In addition, this role oversees systems integration and upgrades and advises on the adoption of new functions and features for educational technologies. The Administrative Platform Consultant also coordinates change management and oversees onboarding and training of all personnel in the use of all administrative platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:

Support the School's Student Information System (SIS), admissions system, academic and faculty dashboards and databases, integrations with operations systems, and other administrative platforms.Serve as an in-house expert on administrative technologies and the primary point of contact among all relevant stakeholders (e.g., leadership, students, faculty, staff, etc.), KP-IT resources, and external vendors.Partner with other technology experts at KPSOM on the design and implementation of all administrative technology systems, the integration of administrative technologies, system maintenance, and problem resolution.Manage the on-boarding, training, and ongoing communication for all users of administrative technology` platforms in order to facilitate effective, efficient use of the platforms.Coordinate change management with respect to new and updated administrative systems, as well as upgrades and new features/functions.Partner with KPSOM personnel, technical experts, and external vendors to define technological needs; scope and plans for adoption of new technologies and upgrades; approaches to implementation; and necessary testing for new educational technologies or upgrades to features/functions.Troubleshoot problems, concerns, or issues as related to administrative platforms.Provide quality end-user support; troubleshoot bugs and issues via communication, research, and testing; and document/communicate findings.Act as the product owner and product manager of assigned platforms to ensure delivery in line with established needs, timelines, and milestones.Support project management and improvement science principles in designing and implementing administrative technologies, as well as appropriate resource allocation, fiscal projection, management, and reporting.Prepare a wide variety of reports and instructional materials for users of administrative technology platforms.Train and/or create and facilitate trainings for faculty and staff in the use of administrative technologies.Serve on relevant KPSOM committees.Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum three (3) years of experience in Technology Operations, School Administration, Systems Programming, or related field.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering, or related field. OR Associate's degree in computer information technology, computer engineering technology, networking technology, or related field AND two (2) years of experience in Technology Operations, School Administration, Systems Programming, or related field.

License, Certification, Registration

N/A

Additional Requirements:

Experience managing and supporting higher education information platforms and administrative technologies. Prior IT project/product management experience. Prior experience with agile and waterfall software development methodologies. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to mentor others in areas of technological expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as an administrative technology specialist, product owner, or equivalent within a school of medicine, school of nursing, school of allied health, or other institution of higher education. Experience administering and designing ERP systems. Ability to lead complex projects with varying levels of stakeholders. Knowledge of mobile web interfaces. Knowledge of integrating web applications with REST-based web services and LMS-API services. Knowledge of source control management tools such as GIT or SVN. Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Understanding of basic networking and protocols pertaining to web applications. Understanding of web/online application security.
