.5 Kindergarten Building Level Computer Technician
Part A: Position Requirements
Purpose of Position: To provide technical support in order to facilitate the effective and efficient use of technology in the schools.
Position Responsibilities:
* Ability to implement, maintain, upgrade and repair of district tablet devices. * Ability to formulate, communicate, and execute timelines to all plans that affect the use of tablets in the schools. * Communicate and collaborate with Technology Specialist/Manager. * Communicate and collaborate with Building Technician Coordinator. * Install software applications consistent with District Software Standard and licensing guidelines. * Maintain records of hardware inventory, updates and repair history. * Monitor the functioning of technology hardware in the schools. * Assist classroom teachers by working together utilizing technology and software applications * Other duties as may be assigned.
Position Organizational Relationships:
* Is under the general direction of the Building Technician Coordinator and Technology Specialist/Manager, and Principal. * Position performance is appraised annually by the Technology Specialist/Manager. * Assigned to school; part of school staff.
Terms of Employment:
* Employed to work 10 month school year. * $15.25/hr and benefits with increase to $17.25 upon completion of Microsoft certifications in Office365
Part B: Positionholder Qualification:
Preparation, Experience, Skills:
* Technical training in use of the internet and installation of hardware and software and/relevant work experience. * Knowledge and experience in working with the internet, Microsoft, Apple, Google platform. COMPTIA A+/N+ certification preferred. * Demonstrated aptitude or competence for the responsibilities assigned to this position. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. * High level of customer service skills recommended.
