Overview

The Office 365 Administrator is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and support of the Office 365 platform utilized by Lurie Children's Hospital. Therefore this individual must be literate in Office 365 administration and product line. This position will provide customer facing support and engagement with Office 365 products as they are rolled out and supported throughout the organization.

This position performs tasks in association with IM application and network systems teams. Duties may be performed directly or coordinated with external technology and/or service partners. The Office 365 Administrator is expected to be self-directed and perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities Deliver subject matter expertise of Office365 and provide value add information and guidance to IM team for defining Office365 roadmaps, lifecycle management, roll out strategies, and driving adoption to leverage the business value of Office365. Develop, implement, and document Office365 product projects and support including system configurations, standards and procedures. Lead and participate in ongoing Office365 strategy discussions and governance. Stay current with Office365, including features, functionality, system engineering and architecture, changes, updates, releases, and third-party solutions. Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and maintenance to ensure health and high performance of the Office365 product line. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Azure as it relates to authentication and supporting Office365. Participate in other department or organizational project tasks as required. Completes assigned Help Desk support tickets within IM Department standards. Serves as liaison to vendors for equipment and software maintenance Assumes on-call responsibility as assigned, per the schedule. Other job functions as assigned. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 systems and technologies. 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft technologies, in a complex enterprise environment. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Technology/Computer Science (or equivalent work experience). Programming or scripting skills necessary to assist in Office 365 administrative management tasks are critical. Certification in Microsoft technology is highly desired. Demonstrated project management skills from a team member role. Analytical thinking for effective problem determination and correction within the department and in the user community is essential. The ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, while providing timely and responsive services are the keys to this position. Excellent time andproject management skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, system diagnostic and communication (written and oral) are critical.
