Network Administrators are tasked with managing computer networks. They set up and install the network hardware needed for a local area network or a large communication system. They also troubleshoot developed networks to ensure that the systems are operating efficiently. Other possible duties include training users to work with network hardware, assigning user permission, managing security systems and performing system upgrades.
Network Administrators can be found in almost any industry, including information, tech, education, finance, insurance and healthcare sectors. They may work alongside other support IT specialists such as database administrators, information system managers and network engineers. With more small and medium-sized companies making the switch to cloud services, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment opportunities for Network Administrators will grow by 20% between 2016 and 2010.
Washington’s status as the seat of power makes it an appealing destination for public policy and professional services companies. The city houses the headquarters of many of the country’s top law firms, profit organizations and trade union. It’s also the location of embassies, international organizations and several major research centers. In addition to the federal government, Washington’s diversified economy is partly driven by a successful tourism industry, which contributed over $4.8 billion in 2012 to the local economy.
D.C is sometimes described as the fittest city in the country because a large percentage of residents and visitors prefer the convenience of walking to their destination, especially when the weather permits. Washington subtropical climate means that the city experiences cool breeze and pleasant weather during the spring and fall.
