Which?

Which? has certainly come a long way from our humble beginnings in 1957 when the first Which? magazine was published from a converted garage in Bethnal Green. 60 years later, we are now the largest consumer body in the Europe, with over 1.5 million supporters and members. .

We are a registered charity, and we plough everything we do back into consumer interests and services for our members. The power we have is based partially on the fact that Which? is completely independent - we have no owners, shareholders or Government departments on our back: this means we work on behalf of you, the consumer, and nobody else so you're assured you're getting the very best advice that is available.

Digital at Which?

We work with dedication and have a whole host of talented teams that collaborate to make our mission a reality, including our Digital Strategy Team, made up of UX, Product, Development, Architecture and DevOps, Data and IT. All teams work closely with the wider business to deliver innovative products and seamless services.

Ambitious to the end, we have big plans over the next five years and are looking to become a truly 'digital first' organisation. We have just kicked off a digital transformation programme across the organisation, and the Digital team will play a key role in helping the business grow revenue, acquisition, and drive campaign led advocacy. We are re-building our Elderly Care site in 2018, improving our global search and exploring the opportunities presented by new platforms (CMS, CRM, IdAM). Integrating and leveraging these platforms is key to making the most of our data, and shaping some really compelling and intuitive user journeys.

You will be joining a fun and supportive area of our business, and sharing knowledge and collaboration are core values; we will expect you to contribute your own ideas and expertise at all stages, and hope that you will be able to work with us to shape our processes and drive improvement. We are big on investing in and developing our employees and will also work with you to develop your skills so that you excel in your role. So, for, example this year we are offering an AWS certification scheme for all DevOps Engineers and Developers, and there are other opportunities to work with other languages and technologies too. We also promote internal development through initiatives such as our Brunch and Learn sessions and Grow and Learn programme. We also want you to learn from the best, so over the next couple of years we will be investing heavily in our Managers through initiatives such as our Pathway to Leadership Excellence programme.

Interviewing at Which?

We aim to make our interview process as speedy and efficient as possible - we appreciate it's a competitive World out there for talent! Typically we will invite you to speak with us over the phone and then issue a Tech test. If all goes well then we will invite you in to meet with us so that you can gain a better understanding of what it's like to work at Which? (If it's a sunny day we may even show you our roof terrace!) and so we can get a better sense of all your valuable experience - We understand it's a two way process!
