By 2017 nearly 75% of all internet traffic with be video. The rapid growth of digital video is creating a content revolution, however measurement technologies are not keeping up with this expansion. Founders Rob Gabel and Allison Stern were aware of this when they met at a Starbucks in Los Altos back in 2012. They acknowledged that there was a clear lack of data transparency in the online video ecosystem - media companies, brands, and creators all wanted access to benchmarks, data, and best practices and it was nowhere to be found. Video marketers are hungry for data, insights, and intelligence to make better content and distribution decisions in this chaotic and fragmented landscape. They quickly realized there was demand for a higher standard of video content measurement and analytics. The dream for Tubular Labs was realized, to be a technology company focused on being the primary intelligence resource for those creating the future of video.
Tubular Labs is the real-time platform that analyzes the engagement of 300+ million viewers and tracks 1.2+ billion videos across 30+ platforms (including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Twitter, Yahoo and AOL). This is followed by a one hour technical phone screen with one of our engineers, concluded by a 45 minute coding exercise. For non-local candidates we proceed with a secondary one hour technical phone screen. For local candidates we invite them onsite for 45 minute interviews with our engineering team and given them a full product demo.
