TruSTAR — the first truly anonymous cyber threat intelligence sharing platform for enterprises — has a unique career opportunity for talented engineers like you. You'll be on the frontlines of information security, building communication and sharing products to help connect the network of enterprise security operators facing off against the most sophisticated attackers in the world.
TruSTAR is an early stage company, but already draws customers from across the Fortune 500 and is positioned for impressive growth in the months and years ahead. Our team is composed of a mix of seasoned entrepreneurs, former security, intelligence and fraud specialists, and amazing product builders creating the most innovative threat intelligence platform for enterprise cyber security.
We were founded in 2014 by a team of cyber security and intelligence professionals with decades of tactical and strategic experience in cyber security operations, intelligence sharing and analysis, and developing security software products for enterprises.
We're a blend of political wonks, open source enthusiasts, engineers and data scientists who don't take themselves too seriously. None of us fit a particular mold, and yet we all get along and celebrate our differences. In the office, you'll find multiple PhDs, former White House and NSA spooks, and sales and engineering talent from some of the biggest startups in the Bay Area. We like to think of ourselves as citizens of the world. We have native speakers of Portuguese, Spanish, Burmese, Russian, German, Bengali, Akan and Arabic. Every Monday after scrum we do a Word of the Day in 15 different languages. What will yours be?
Everyone at TruSTAR moves really fast and wears a lot of different hats. Because of this, first and foremost, we want you to be curious and forward- thinking with a strong independent streak.
Our interview process begins with a screening call from one of our senior staff and a written test. If you pass both of these, we'll bring you on-site for in person interviews with other members of the engineering and product team. You'll get the chance to use our whiteboard walls to describe your code and designs, and we'll talk about what you can bring to the team the first 30, 60, 90 days you're in. Ample LaCroix will be provided.
We are looking for people who embody the characteristics of an Ideal Team Player: a combination of humility, smarts and hunger.
