Our Vision

Quantexa aims to be the number one in the entity resolution and network analytics space. In just a few short years since we started (back in March 2016), we've demonstrated extraordinary success including raising significant investment funding (Series B of $20m), winning numerous accolades and resulting in an expansion to more than 100 talented individuals internationally. The team includes experts with many years of experience in developing software, data analytics and AI products.

Our software processes huge volumes of data, generated single customer views and uncovers hidden relationships and networks in real-time. This underpins a range of automated decision making solutions, including fraud prevention, money laundering detection and customer insight. The products can be deployed at customer site in full cycle agile deployments or in the cloud as a software as a service. Our customer base is typically blue-chip, tier one and global organisations, including: financial services, oil and gas, travel and transport, government and insurance.

The company is headquartered in London, with offices in Brussels, New York, Boston and Sydney.

Tech Stack

Our backend is written in Scala and we make use of Cats, Shapeless, Monix, Akka. We make heavy use of ElasticSearch for real-time data queries. We also have data processing and analytical components that run on Apache Spark. On the frontend we use Angular 6 with Typescript and Rx.JS.

How we Interview and Hire

1. First of all, we will an initial call (normally around 15-minutes) to get to know you better! We want to understand what you are looking for in your next role and start to assess your suitability for a role at Quantexa.
2. Next you'll come and meet a few of the team at our Waterloo office so that you can get a better feel for the business and we can start to understand your strengths and how you would contribute to the team.
3. For the final stage, you'll be invited back to meet more of the team, walk through a coding challenge that you will be set and beyond that you'll be extended an offer to join Quantexa!

What it's like to be an Engineer at Quantexa?

• The frontend has been developed using modern front-end tools and frameworks such as TypeScript, Angular 6 and ngrx
• On the backend, our services are primarily written in Scala and deployed as microservices.
• We are huge fans of functional and strongly typed programming, making use of libraries such as Cats and Shapeless
• We utilise techniques such as event sourcing and CQRS in our persistence layer to ensure our datastores are scalable and flexible
• We have our own floor in the newly refurbished Capital Tower literally opposite Waterloo Station
